Flipped Classroom Placement

This project has definitely been one of the most unique that I’ve been assigned in school and it’s also been one of the most enjoyable. Over the course of a few months Max and I were tasked with filming Mr. Rupke’s accounting class three times and uploading those lessons to the internet. The videos were to be made available on Mr. Rupke’s website and the aim of the project was to allow his students to rewatch his lessons at home in order to grasp a better understanding of the subject, figure out homework or to use to study. Max and I figured out the process and completed this experiment in the “Flipped Classroom” method of teaching, and taught Mr. Rupke how to do it in case he wants to try it again in the future. The placement from the start had it’s ups, downs and perfectly straights, but the entire process was interesting and at the end the project felt complete. ICT Issues

It absolutely baffles me how much people focus on the negatives when it comes to social media. I really can’t see social media as the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, with billions of people knowing that it will make the world worse off and using it anyway. I believe people, on some level, weigh the pros and cons of social media every time they log on, and every time they come to the same conclusion as me, social media is more good than it is bad for the world. Technology has progressed to the point in which we can instantly connect with nearly anyone, from your best friend two houses down to your grandmother on the other side of the world everyone’s a click or a tap away. I’m aware that this line, in different forms has been used a million times and reused a million more, but it’s true, and there isn’t much more I can say.
